Well, here we are my first blog. I have been wanting to do this for a long time. I have many friends that do blog and it is so fun to read. I love that it allows me to fulfill my new desire to write and it will help me to take more pics of the kids. I want to post all our activities that I blog about and will NEED to have visual references to refer to ;)
So, it is the first of July and what a way to start off with a bang. July 4th is coming. In this household though, it isn't as exciting as the day BEFORE the 4th. July 3rd is Jaxx's birthday after all so the 4th takes a huge backseat to the 3rd around here. Jaxx has been asking "how many sleeps til his birthday" for about 43 sleeps now! He will be FIVE! I just can't believe it. I will be dealing with a child that will be bouncing off the walls for the next 3 days. He is so excited he can hardly stand still. Anyway, he and Jaya have been working on an exploding volcano for about a week now. The whole construction, painting, scenery, etc... It took much longer to create than to explode. I think about "8 sleeps" but it was a very exciting day. Our babysitter, Charron, did all the hard part. She is a fun part of the kids life.
On Sunday we just hung out at the house. It was a day of rest! Jaya did Dad's hair! She put in every little tiny clip she could pinch. Jace won't want to admit it but he actually asked her to come back and brush his hair again. She came back to the bed with all her "tools" brush, headbands, clips, bobby pins, rubberbands, and more. All in a bag that promptly got dumped out ALL OVER. One thing you will learn....Jaya has earned her nickname! THE PINK TORNADO! She will destroy, spill, rip, ruin, dump out, pee on, get dirty, etc.... ANYTHING she touches. She is so dang cute that you don't know whether to eat her up or get mad. Jaxx is so low maintenance in comparison but I am convinced that this is God's way of teaching me patience. It isn't working yet, only making me nuts!
So, I don't know how often I will blog, my goal is 3 times a week. Keep us in your "favorites" and check back often to keep up with The Johnson Project!
Tomorrow is Charron's birthday so the kids are excited to sing to her and give her the present we picked up today. This is going to be a very busy week!
